Coordinate the Roof Before Mobilization
New construction roofing starts with submittals, deck review, insulation requirements, rooftop equipment layouts, drain locations, and the warranty specification the owner expects at turnover.
Curb placement, penetrations, tapered insulation, and roof access should be coordinated before membrane installation so later trades do not damage a newly installed system.
Protect the System During Active Construction
A new roof is often installed while other trades still need rooftop access. The work plan should include traffic paths, temporary protection, punch-list controls, and clear responsibility for damage created after roofing closeout.
Turn Over a Complete Roof Record
Closeout should include manufacturer documents, as-built notes for drains and penetrations, maintenance requirements, and a clean warranty handoff for the owner or property manager.
